Women's History Month in Australia and the USA

2010 is the 10th anniversary of Women's History Month in Australia. Trace the history of the development of WHM Australia elsewhere on this site. 2010 also marks the 30th anniversary of Women's History Month in the USA. President Jimmy Carter issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring the week of March 8, 1980 the first National Women's History Week. In 1987 Congress expanded the week into a month.
